CheckMy Resident Verification and Monitoring Statuses

There’s a lot to keep an eye on when it comes to verifying and monitoring your residents’ insurance. We’re here to make it easy for you. Here are some quick definitions of the statuses in our dashboard, but please reach out if you need further clarification.

monitoring statuses

Active Status: If a policy is ‘Active’ then the coverage is in force. Policies classified as ‘Pending Cancellation’ are also considered active, as the carrier continues to provide coverage until the policy is formally canceled.

Inactive Status: The policy is canceled, expired, terminated, or rescinded. Policies classified as “Pending Activation” are also considered inactive, as coverage is not provided until the policy is activated at a future date.

Adequate Status: The insured’s policy complies with the insurance verification coverage requirements set up in your account.

Inadequate Status: The insured’s policy does not comply with the insurance verification coverage requirements set up in your account.

Canceled: The verification has been canceled in the system. Cancelation is initiated in the actions three dot menu typically because lease has ended, resident moved out, eviction or similar. Upon cancellation the status will be updated and the verification will remain in the dashboard. Delete removes the verification from the dashboard.

Verifying: Automated insurance verifications where the monitoring process has been initiated, but CheckMy Resident is unable to retrieve the verification results due to the activation of two-factor authentication (2FA) or the insured’s update of their online password for access to the carrier portal. CheckMy Resident works with your customer to fix these issues and keep the process moving.

Authorizing: Your resident successfully accessed the carrier’s sign-in page, but was unable to complete the verification process due to the absence of policy credential input (no username or password shared), preventing successful authentication and verification.

Pending Review: The resident submitted a copy of their declaration page for manual verification, bypassing the recommended automated verification process. This approach may slow down results, but CheckMy Resident works with your customer and their carrier to complete the process as quickly as possible.

Link Sent: The verification link has been sent to the resident by email and/or text message, but they have not yet completed the verification process. CheckMy Resident works with them and provides reminders to help them through verification.
